I have PCOS. I was diagnosed when I was 17. I conceived my daughter naturally in November 2014. I was told if I ever wanted children I'd probably need help. February 2019 I had my implant removed which I had had in since my daughter was 3 weeks old.
My cycles never returned... Or if they did it would be 1 or 2 a year on my own that's it. I went to the GP who wasn't helpful. I then boycotted my husband's appointment one day and his Dr referred us to gyne etc. I finally got refered just as Covid hit in 2020.He said lose weight etc which I did.
Then fast forward to March 2021 we had a ftf appointment and he recommended ovarian drilling which happened in May 2021.
In September 2021 we had a positive pregnancy test which unfortunately resulted in miscarriage. We decided to stop trying for a few months. The last few days of February 2022 I discovered I was pregnant again. Unfortunately this resulted in another miscarriage. So we said we weren't trying again until after our wedding in June 2022.
Fast forward to September 2022 and I discovered I was pregnant again a few days before I had the year before. I saw my gynecologist and told her. And she prescribed me progesterone pessarys and we went on to have a successful pregnancy and we had a baby boy in May 2023 via c section at 38+6 and he weighed 10lb.
Midwives, drs, health visitor, etc asked what we were doing for contraception and we said my husband is going for a vasectomy which he is booked for just awaiting an appointment. I had my first period 9 or 10 weeks after Oscar was born.
Fast forward to the here and now and i’m currently 15 weeks pregnant with our double rainbow baby! I discovered I was pregnant again at the end of August this year! I didn't believe it would happen so quickly.
My advice is to never give up. Xxx
